Help Jonah get back to his family

Hello Everyone, my name is Oggi I’m the owner of Cork & Crust Restaurant, Raw Oyster Bar & Browns Best Raw dog food in Harrington Park. I recently had a young man named Jonah who’s 12 years old come into my life. He showed up at my restaurant and ordered a pizza and had no money to pay for it. I asked him where his parents were and he was hesitant to tell me, but explained that he had taken a bus and ended up in Harrington Park. I realized at some point he was autistic. I told him the pizza was on the house as long as I could have a phone number to call his parents. After doing so I found out he had run away from school and they’d been looking for him all day. Jonahs dad explained things were hard and he wasn’t making enough money to keep a residence so the state took Jonah and put him in a foster home about a year ago. His parents live in a shelter. I asked Jonah why he ran away, he said “ I don’t understand why I can’t be with my parents I love them so much”. It was heartbreaking for me. His Dad told me he’s been working very hard to save money and find a place for his family so they can be together. Jonah told me he was going to run away and find somewhere to hide until his parents were ready to get a place they can all live in. He’s now back with his foster parents. I’ve reached out and told them I plan on helping them in every way I can. We are going to do some fundraisers here in town with local clubs & charities to help them find a place and get them set up for a year. In addition I’m starting this GoFundMe to help get them back together. Jonah needs our help, let’s help him please.
