Help John-Wesley replace his totaled car. Hit and run :(

Hi my name is John-Wesley, I’m 22 and I live in the south end of Albany NY with my girlfriend. We were involved in a car accident on April 28, that occurred just after 3:00PM on I-787 northbound, downtown Albany. An erratic, blue suv with florida plates swerved in front of us, causing me to slam on my brakes and skid, spinning and crashing into the left side highway divider. The car was totaled. Thankfully me and my girlfriend are uninjured. The car that swerved in front of us causing the crash did not stop or make any attempt to exchange information. We later heard from the police that the car was seen speeding down the highway further along. Because this isn’t a hit and run I don’t think they are going to prioritize catching the perpetrator. At the end of the day, because we are ok I don't feel vindictive about the situation, it just sucks because our car is totaled. Anything and everything is hugely appreciated. This is the section of the highway where it happened.
