Watching your mom suffer in pain and knowing help is just out of reach is something no child should have to experience.

My mom, Johnalynn Duhon, has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a form of cancer that is affecting her tongue. Right now, she is in excruciating pain. Simple things like eating, speaking, and even resting have become daily battles. The cancer has formed a mass on her tongue that must be surgically removed as soon as possible.

This surgery is not optional. It is necessary for relief, healing, and her ability to move forward. Unfortunately, before the procedure can happen, we are required to come up with $4,000 to cover medical costs.

Because of the severity of her condition and the pain she is enduring, my mom is currently unable to work, which makes this financial burden overwhelming. Asking for help is not easy, but right now it is necessary.

• Surgery to remove the cancerous mass

• Immediate medical care and recovery needs

• Helping relieve her pain and stabilize her health
