My name is John, and just a few months ago, my life changed in ways I never could have imagined. On October 23rd, I was out walking with my walker when I tripped over an uneven sidewalk. The fall sent me to the hospital, and since then, I have lost the ability to walk more than a few feet without falling. I tried to keep going, using my walker and working through physical therapy at a nursing facility, but things only got harder. After leaving the facility, I found myself homeless, living in the park with nowhere else to go. My walker and all my medication were stolen, and I spent a month outside, struggling to get by. I couldn't even walk to the bathroom, and things got so bad that I wasn't allowed on the bus because of my condition. Eventually, I passed out trying to get to the hospital and have been here for two weeks, preparing to move to another rehab facility.
Now, I am hoping to get a wheelchair and regain some of my mobility. I need help with medical bills and, most importantly, finding stable housing so I can start to rebuild my life. I want to reconnect with my family, return to society, and find hope again. Your support would mean the world to me. I want to be able to walk again, have a roof over my head, and enjoy the simple things in life like cooking and having a place to call home. Thank you for anything you can do to help, and thank God for people like you.
