Help John Find a Safe Home Before Winter

Meet John. He's a familiar face for many of us. He works the self-checkout line at Prospect Kroger. John is facing incredible hardship. He is experiencing houselessness, living out of his car, which has become his only refuge—and even that isn’t in great shape. 

With cold weather fast approaching, John urgently needs a place to stay.

Despite being an amputee with other disabilities, he does his best to make ends meet. But with high medical bills from ongoing health issues and a diet limited to fast food, he’s often sick and struggling to make it through each day.

John has no place to cook, no safe place to store food, and no access to many of the basic necessities most of us take for granted.

We want to help John secure the funds necessary to give him housing options before the harsh winter months.

A safe, warm home would allow him to live with dignity, prepare healthy meals, and focus on his wellbeing without the constant stress of living in his car. 

Depending on the amount received, funds can be used to address his medical debts, repair or replace his car so he can get to work reliably, and provide for essential expenses that could ease his way forward.

John has shown tremendous strength and determination in the face of adversity, and now he needs a community to lift him up.
