Hello all, My name is John, and I’m a proud father to an incredible little boy who is 10 years old. Thanks to his wonderful school and education program, he is nearly fluent in Spanish, and he is amazingly capable of teaching himself any discipline he sets his mind to. I am a proud stepfather as well, married to a beautiful widowed mother of five, whom despite her losses is proud to accept my son as one of her own. My son and my stepson are more siblings than many blood relatives and show their respect and love for one another constantly. Right now, I am in the middle of a legal battle to secure a stable, loving life for my son. This isn’t easy. It requires lengthy, drawn-out legal processes that are expensive and sometimes insanely so. We’ve expended our ability to provide this, so we’re struggling to cover the mounting attorney’s fees on our own. That’s why I’m reaching out to you: friends, family, and the public. This fight is not about winning or losing. It’s about fathers’ rights, as well as children's rights. It’s about wanting our children, and about our children wanting us. It’s about ensuring that my son is raised by his father and making sure that he knows that his father loves him deeply, and is present in every aspect of his life. Every child deserves to feel safe and supported, and there’s no better way to do that than be surrounded by the love of their family. I’m doing everything I can to make that happen. Your support, in the form of a donation, will directly fund attorney’s and court fees and nothing else. These legal expenses are required to secure parental rights such as custody and visitation and to secure a stable home. I would not ask for help if I did not need it, because every other avenue has been exhausted and now I must rely on the kindness of others in order for me to stand up for my son.
