Recently, I've been facing a serious medical challenge. I suffered from intense and dangerous intestinal and gut issues, nearly losing my life to a peptic ulcer once before. Unfortunately, it happened again—I was rushed to the hospital with agonizing abdominal and chest pains that wouldn't let up. After several days of testing, doctors finally found the root cause and I was taken into surgery. Five hours under the knife left me with a new scar from the bottom of my chest to just below my navel. Now, I'm recovering in the hospital, and it's clear this time will be tougher than before. Last time, I was back at work a week after a five-day hospital stay. This time, I'll be in the hospital for over a week and unable to work for another six weeks. Financially, this is a nightmare. Like many people, I'm struggling with the rising costs of food and fuel, and it's hard to get ahead.
