Hi, my name is John Ortiz. I’m a Costa Rican-born Film Director and Editor dedicated to telling Latinx stories. I’ve lived in the U.S. for the past 6 years, where I’ve had the privilege of studying and practicing the art of filmmaking, as well as meeting my closest friends. My work has been nominated for a Student Academy Award and an International Documentary Association Award, and has been featured in major film festivals across the Americas.
Now, I need your help to secure my O-1 Visa so I can continue my work in the United States, push my career to new heights, and stay with the community that has become my found family.
For transparency, here’s a breakdown of the O-1 Visa costs:
- Attorney Fee: $5,000
- U.S. Immigration Application Fee: $830
- Processing Fee: $2,805
- Union Fees: $550
- Request for Evidence Fee: $950
