As I plan my Post CESE follow up, I am requesting donations to help expand my 10-Step Program.

I wanted to personally thank those again for your many generous donation which helped me attend the Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation Global Summit in Washington D.C. this week. The four key takeaways this week for me were:

1. The problem is much bigger than I realized, as thousands of predators are constantly attacking millions of children with cutting-edge AI software and technology on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, WeChat, Reddit, Messenger, X (Twitter), Roblox, Grindr, Tumblr, Douyin, QQ, Discord, Twitch, Kuaishou, Telegram, Weibo, Ozone, and Quora; children are at even greater risks than I could have possibly imagined.

2. Parents’ lack of understanding/recognition of these devastating risks to their children from online dangers was identified as the key obstacle in our efforts to protect children on the internet.

3. Any child, at any age, on any device with access to the internet is at extreme risk.

4. My 10-Step program for parishes to educate parents on these dangers and to provide them with all the needed resources (books, smartphone alternatives, and tech/media options keeping kids safe online) is a meaningful way I can contribute.

On September 12, 2024, our local parish school, St. Francis de Sales 5th-8th students/parents will have a mandatory meeting entitled: How Strong Family Relationships Lead to Internet-Safe Kids Against the Many Dangers Online. Paula Alberto, Counseling Alliance, will present. We will pass out books like Good Pictures, Bad Pictures, and a list of leading resources for smart phone alternatives and tech/media safe options.

In October 2024, I will publish an article about my 10-Step Program in THE DEACON magazine which goes to 20,000 Deacons nationwide. All Deacons will have an opportunity to implement this program in their parish if they choose to do so. I attached my 10-Step Program presentation.
