Help John Luciano Overturn Wrongful Conviction
Donation protected
Our dad, John Luciano, is facing the most terrifying nightmare of his life, and we are reaching out to you, his family, his friends, his peers, and his community for help.
Our dad has been wrongfully convicted of 2 fabricated, lewd, and lascivious allegations against his ex-fiancée’s teenage daughter, and we know in our hearts he did not commit these crimes.
What led to this nightmare…
Back in 2022, while living with his fiancée of 8 years and his step-daughters, our dad learned that his fiancée was allowing her 16-year-old to have a sexual relationship with her boyfriend, in their home.
In a responsible effort to protect both teenagers' well-being, our dad told his fiancée to inform her daughter’s father and the boy’s mother, because the kids were both underage and allowing them to have a sexual relationship in their home was irresponsible and reckless. If the other parents were not informed, he would feel compelled to tell them.
Our dad’s step-daughter did not want her dad to find out because she feared that he would have made her end the relationship with her boyfriend.
The situation led to our dad’s step-daughter falsely accusing him, a week later, of inappropriate behavior back when she was 13 years old, resulting in him being wrongfully convicted. This is the first and only time such accusations were ever made against our dad. Prior to the allegations, after our dad advised against the relationship, he was an active father figure who was loved and even honored by his step-daughter at her Sweet 16.
We believe in our hearts that our dad is innocent. When our dad was offered a 10-year plea in exchange for an admission of guilt, he refused to accept it; he could not in good conscience sign a false confession. He chose to fight for the truth.
We are now working to overturn this miscarriage of justice. The appellate process is estimated to cost approximately $22,000 and a potential new trial could cost an additional $40,000. These legal fees are beyond our family's means, but with your support, we can give our dad a real chance at justice.
Our dad is a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and mentor in the community. As a substance abuse counselor who has dedicated his life to helping victims of trauma and abuse, he has spent his life guiding others away from darkness, and now he needs our help to overcome this nightmare.
Please, we are asking for your financial assistance and character witness letters. Whatever contribution you can give, we would greatly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Please email your letters, and please keep our dad and family in prayers.
With love, light, and hope.
Sincerely,
Ashley, Jonathan, and Nina Luciano
