Support John's 1400-Mile Ride for BGOLDN

Update: I can not begin to express the gratitude I have for the support shown towards this goal! I plan to leave for my ride on Monday May 19th. Hello! My name is John. A little under a year ago I tore my ACL. This was a pretty devastating injury for me. I’ve always prioritized an active lifestyle and this injury put me into a very fearful, depressed head space.

Over the past 8 months of recovery, I've loosely toyed around with the idea of biking to Oregon. A couple months ago I picked up my first bike and at the end of May, I will be biking the Trans American Trail from my home here in Golden, CO to Mount Hood, Oregon! I’m grateful to be back to activity and I’m excited about this trip. I'm also thankful to be a part of such a great community and would like to use this trip as an opportunity to give back. I have teamed up with BGOLDN, a non-profit with a mission to feed food-insecure families and students here in Golden. I would like to raise $1400 for 1400 miles.

$1400 should feed a family of 4 for 1 month. Bike for 30 days, feed a family for 30 days. I think this is a great goal. I'm incredibly excited for this epic cross-country ride and am excited to be riding with purpose. Any support or sharing of this fundraiser is greatly appreciated!
