In the words of one of their sweet son and daughter in love, Caleb and Megan Beason:
To all who love and know the Beasons:
If you've met Joey and Rue, you've seen their joy, generosity, wisdom and love for people and the nations, and a resilience that doesn't quit.
What most people haven't seen, except maybe a handful, is what the last few years have thrown at them:
In 2020, a real estate investor lost all the savings Joey and Rue had set aside to finish building their house and has not given it back.
In 2023, Rue was in a serious car accident that totaled their car and required major surgery.
In 2024, Joey suffered two mini-strokes that landed him in the hospital.
Most recently, on July 2nd, a fire broke out on burning almost their entire property while they were out of town. It leveled their barn along with all their building materials, new appliances, expensive machinery, tools, kayaks, and bikes inside. And because the house isn't finished, it's never been inspected or appraised, so there was no insurance to cover any of it.
Needless to say, the Beasons have been through a lot, and even through grief, pain, and loss, they have done what they always do: picked up the pieces, kept working, kept giving, and kept loving people in the midst of so much heartbreak.
Job 42:12: "And the Lord blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part."
We are praying this verse over them, that the years ahead would pale in comparison to the goodness God wants to pour out on them.
This fund is to raise whatever it takes to finish the house Joey and Rue have been building for years, and to get their barn rebuilt. To give them a home to live in with their 15-year-old daughter Abby and finally feel settled for the first time in 8 years.
If the Beasons have ever given to you or made an impact on your life, this is a chance to give back, to see everything meant for evil turned for good, to God's glory.
