The Funk Family has been in operation on their farm since the 1800s. As simple as agriculture might seem to many of us, it brings new challenges that many of us don’t understand.
Unfortunately, Funk Family Farms has been affected by the bird flu (aka Avian Flu). After years of building up his flock of multicultural birds, Joel’s now watching those birds die.
He has worked very hard to build up his local business in providing locally sourced eggs, and you can see it yourself every time you go out to his farm to pick up a dozen.
He now has to start over. We are starting this fund to help him get back on his feet with his flock. I know he had over 100 chickens of many breeds and with the winter coming, it was already going to be difficult.
Joel and his family have served this country in many ways, in particular in the military. Please consider giving back and helping our friends at Funk Family Farms.
