Help Joe Cris and his mom Perla Heal After Fire

On late Wednesday evening, 3/26/25, the most devastating event happened to my best friend Joe Cris and his 82-year-old mom, Perla, when they lost everything in an apartment fire.

Due to this fire, they both had severe burns that required surgery and will still be undergoing additional skin grafts and therapy. Unfortunately, because of the amount of smoke that they both inhaled, they are having difficulties breathing and experiencing so much pain. They will still need lots of rehab when this is all done.

I have started this GoFundMe page in hopes that I can raise some money to help them out. Those of you who know them are aware that they have no family but each other and Joe Cris’ only son Cameron and 2 grandbabies. I’m hoping to raise money to assist them with everything they will be needing when they are released. I am hoping that you will find it in your hearts to help out any way you can.
