A little about Joe
Joe is 63 years old, he loves his dog and his westerns. He is a proud grandfather to his favorite lil man in the world. All he has ever known is to work hard all his life from cutting timber as a child with his dad and older brother to being a carpenter which is his passion. He is known by many in the community for all the work he has done for others over the last several decades. His spirits are high, he is in this for the long ride and wants to fight! Joe has a big heart and anyone who knows him will tell you the same.
My name is Samuel, Im the only child with a wife and a kid of our own My father stays with us and my wife had to quit her job to take on the responsibility of taking care of Joe now with him starting an aggressive cycle of chemo and radiation in attempts to slow down the cancer. we are faced with medical expenses and also paying his bills on top of our own and that leads to us preparing with the passing of my father. This has been a stressful time. He has a strong mind and is determined to fight until the end. Yet there are still so many uncertainties, and we don’t know what all we will need, anything helps. On top of everything, we are renting and rent went up. I've been in and out of work trying to handle everything he has needed, money is tight to say the least and this is just the beginning. This money will go towards food/household needs, Medication copays/ medical items needed in the home/ medical bills /household Bills/utilities,ect. We can use all the prayer and help we can get We don't want to lose him but we know what we are faced with and are pleading for support every way we can. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
Below you can find more information on the both Diagnosis ______________________________________________ Glioblastomas are grade 4 brain tumours. Grade 4 is based on the World Health Organisation (WHO) grading system. Grade 1 and 2 tumours are usually not cancerous and can grow quite slowly. But grade 3 and 4 tumours are more advanced. They grow quickly GBMs are a type of glioma, which is a brain tumour that grows from a glial cell. This is where the term, ‘glioblastoma’ comes from. The ‘multiforme’ comes from the fact that they have lots of variations, or different forms. This can unfortunately make them more difficult to treat than other tumours. Glioblastoma Multiforme is among the most aggressive brain tumors. Life expectancy with Glioblastoma is low with an average 8-18 months, with treatment and as low as 4 -8 with out treatment. ______________________________________________ C.O.P.D (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) lung disease that block airways and makes it difficult to breath. Damage to the lungs from C.O.P.D cant be reversed.
