I’m fundraising for my beautiful mama Jo. She recently lost almost everything in the floods -her rental home, her car and most of her worldly possessions.

Having been in an unofficial rental situation, she is not eligible for most of the government and charitable funding on offer. In spite of this, she is stoically moving forwards, as she always has done.

Although she would be the first to say she’s doing fine, there are severe financial and emotional pressures involved with rebuilding a life after a disaster like this.

My target amount is set to assist her to replace a leaking head gasket that has just been discovered in the secondhand car she managed to purchase after the disaster. Hearing this news of major car repairs whilst she is still paying off this new (old) car and just starting to recover from the stress and exhaustion has motivated me to reach out.

Maybe we are all a little charity exhausted, with the world as it is now and so many in need of support. If anyone is able to help with a small donation to support Jo, I’m sure it would be gratefully (and very humbly) received ♥️
