Dear Friends and Family,

We want to introduce you to an incredible little boy who has changed our lives—JJ. At just six months old, he was brought to the U.S. on a medical visa after being abandoned as a newborn in Haiti. Doctors soon discovered he had congenital Zika virus, arthrogryposis, microcephaly, and a severe seizure disorder. Over the years, he has endured multiple medical complications, including the amputation of both legs. He is tube-fed and requires constant care.

Despite everything he has been through, JJ is a warrior. His spirit is bright, his determination is unbreakable, and he continues to thrive with the love and support of our family. Now, we are in the final stages of adopting him, but the journey has been far from easy.

Unfortunately, staying in Haiti was never an option for JJ. The country is in crisis, with no access to the specialized care he desperately needs. Doctors have said that without his essential medications and treatments, he would not survive. However, because he lost his medical visa and has no legal status, he does not qualify for medical insurance, leaving our family to cover all expenses out of pocket—including life-saving medications that cost thousands of dollars each month.

We are fighting to finalize JJ’s adoption and secure his citizenship so he can receive the care he desperately needs. But the financial burden is overwhelming. Your support will help cover:
