Hi, my name is Jimmy Lamb. My wife is Rachelle, and we have 2 boys, Ian and Aidan. We have had a series of unfortunate events happen back to back. It started a year and a half ago when we bought a 2018 Chevy Silverado, driving it 100+ miles a day to and from work. The transmission started acting up. So, the tree company my wife and I both worked at moved us into an extended stay hotel. After 6 months of staying there, we were getting the truck worked on. In the meantime, we had a mechanic work on the truck, charging us $3500, only to find out that he only changed the filter and fluid in the transmission.

We thought he had done internal work on the transmission because it ran well for about another month and then went completely out. After a couple more weeks of working with the tree company, they lost the contract with the power company we were working for. So, after that, we had nowhere to go and were homeless, living in the broken truck. I then took a bicycle to work at a tire shop just because it was close. I worked my way up, saved money, and finally bought a cheap Toyota car. It was about 15 to 18 years old. Mind you, I've been doing tree work since 2009, so 14 years of experience, and had to go work at this tire shop, which I did what I had to do. But then I was able to go back into the tree business. Everything went well for about eight more months. I was doing Uber and working in the tree industry. One evening, I was delivering Uber and got hit by a Mercedes. Right now, I still work in the tree industry, but this winter has been rough due to rain and lack of work. So now, my family and I are living in a U-Haul van, living week by week, barely getting by. I know there are other people in worse positions than I am, but at this point, I'm begging anyone to help. I have no family that can help us, and neither does my wife. I'm just asking for this money to work my way up to buy a van of my own to live in and save up to get an apartment. We are one more bad week away from living outside, so I beg of you, please find it in your heart to help us.

My children are staying with their aunt right now until we can get our home back together in a home.
