Jimmy Foreman Sr. and Kayla are my in-laws. Jimmy had an accident on his tractor last fall that ruptured his spleen and required emergency surgery. This led to a spot being found on his lung, which they removed, and the biopsy came back cancer-free. Over the next several weeks, Jimmy's health continued to decline, and he became septic with issues in several organs. After several weeks in two hospitals, MD Anderson was determined to figure out what was going on. With his septic level at a 13 and no theories on the cause, we gathered together expecting the worst. Finally, they figured out what was causing the issues. The diagnosis isn't one you ever want to hear. Jimmy has Stage 4 Diffused Large B-cell Lymphoma non-GCB type. The most aggressive. It's already spread to his liver and lungs. He was started on chemo right away, and after several weeks in the hospital, he was able to come home. He just finished his second round. The treatment is in Houston and takes 8 hours for the drip to finish. With the drive and drip time, it's best for them to get a hotel room for the night. Jimmy and Kayla are both retired, and the recent costs have hit them hard. Jimmy and Kayla were always there for others, offering a helping hand whenever someone needed it. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go to cover hotel stays on chemo days, gas to and from Houston, food, medical bills, and prescriptions insurance doesn't cover. Please pray for Jimmy, Kayla, and their family. Thank you!
