Jim is a 69-year-old man who has faced more than his share of challenges. After being taken advantage of by previous mechanics who charged him for unnecessary repairs and then disappeared, Jim was left with a truck that still needed major work. Despite being disabled, Jim has always tried to work on his own vehicles, but this time the repairs were simply too much for him to handle alone.

Jim’s dream is to restore his 1991 truck so he can surprise his son, who had to give up his own 1991 truck when it became too damaged to fix. This truck represents more than just transportation—it’s a symbol of hope and a way for Jim to give back to his son, fulfilling a promise and keeping a family tradition alive. With the help of Freddy, a trustworthy mechanic, we’re working to replace the starter, fuel pump, fuel tank, thermostat, flush the radiator and engine block, change the oil filter, distributor, and alternator. Each repair brings Jim closer to his goal.

Jim is known for his kindness and willingness to help others, which unfortunately has led to people taking advantage of him in the past.
