Hello my name is Terry Godoy and I work for Priority San Marcus and I am raising money for my best friend to have a joyful Christmas . Jim is my best friend and for the past 17 years he has been alone on Christmas . All of Jim’s family other than one brother that lives far away have passed away so instead of bothering other people or being a burden he stays home by himself and reads to celebrate Christmas . The other thing that is crazy about Jim’s life is he works seven days a week for 12 hour shifts other than the two days he gets off every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas . Jim has not taken a vacation in 17 years because he can’t afford it because he lives pay day to pay day as a manager in a retail store in the mall . Just to let you know Jim is going to have to work till he is 70 years old to have enough for his retirement . Jim is 63 right now and his body from working 7 days a week and 12 hour shifts have taken their toll on him . Jim has been my best friend for almost 40 years and he has always been there for me to lift me up in prayer and as a best friend and I am for ever thankful that God introduced us 40 years ago . So this Christmas I am going to surprise him Christmas morning with some gifts and take him to my daughters house and celebrate Christmas with my family . Last but not least even though Jim is not a rich man he would give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar bill out of his wallet because what he lacks in wealth he makes up with love and giving . So let’s makes Jim’ 63rd Christmas one he will never forget . I will record Jim receiving what we raise for him Christmas afternoon and post it to Facebook .
