14 years ago, a 5-year-old Jia-Xin left Taiwan for a new life in Canada. She experienced her first Christmas with her new Canadian family and was left confused. Why didn’t Santa ever visit her and the other kids in foster care in Taiwan? She declared her desire to be Santa when she grew up so she could make sure no child was missed. We decided not to wait. For the past 13 years, we have raised funds and sent them to our elves in Taiwan who buy toys and other necessities for children like Jia-Xin at Christmas.
