Help Jettrice Chancy Avoid Eviction

Hello, my name is Jettrice Chancy. I am one inch from being homeless again. I lived in hotels with my 3 kids for 4 and a half months. I finally applied for an apartment and got approved with a risk fee that I knew I couldn’t pay, but I was desperate and needed to get out of the hotel. They gave me time to see if I could come up with the money. Only one church paid $300, and I was left with the remaining to pay. I had a job whenever I had a rental car, but I lost it because the rental car was becoming too much to keep. Some days, I couldn’t even get my hotel paid for, but I did Instacart and donated plasma to make ends meet.

I moved into this apartment on May 2nd, and so far, I still owe $846 plus late fees and $1160 plus late fees for June! They couldn’t wait anymore, so they filed for eviction! I have just a couple of days to come up with $2200.00, including late fees and court fees. I can’t think of anything else. I reached out to the organization in my town, but they tell me the same thing: they don’t pay deposits or risk fees, and I would have to have a job for them to help. I have done several applications, and some have set up interviews for next week. I’m afraid that I won’t have that long if I don’t start paying something now! I’m not afraid to ask for help; I just fell on hard times, and I’m trying to stay settled and get my life back on the right track! If you are led to donate, thank you in advance.
