Help Jesus Support His Parents during ICE crisis in LA
Donation protected
Hello, my name's Jesus. I work full-time and I'm a DACA recipient, so I'm able to work for the time being to help my family stay afloat during these hard ICE raids in LA.
With my parents unable to step out in fear of deportation, I'm looking for help with bills such as rent and utilities that I would be unable to assist them with. Anything donated will go straight to them in order to help them during this difficult time in LA with so many Latinos being taken by ICE.
My greatest fear is for them to be detained but also for them not to be able to stay current with rent or bills, seeing as how being out in public could potentially lead to them being arrested by ICE. Anything you are able to spare or help with will be greatly appreciated to help my mother and father out. They have worked really hard and raised me to work hard, so all I want is for them to remain together and safe. I fear for them, and the last thing I want is for either to be worried about the possibility of being thrown in a van and handcuffed over their background.
My mother is diabetic, and my father has worked to provide for us (more so her now), and with this current administration, it's getting harder for them to feel safe to step out and live a normal life. It's hard for me as well, but I put myself at risk so they won't have to. However, it is very difficult for me to be able to support us all.
Again, anything you can help with I will appreciate and just give my mother to use for anything she may need, which I know will be rent, food, and bills. Thank you again for anything you can help with.
