For our brother Jessie Perez, is only 21 years old. On January 12th in Windsor, CA, Jessie was the victim of a horrific shooting at a local market while he was checking out and paying for his items.
Jessie was shot seven times. Two bullets struck his hand, shattering his right arm. Two more hit his spine, leaving him unable to walk. The remaining three bullets entered his abdomen, requiring immediate, life-saving surgery. His lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing tube. Praying we prevent infections as he has tubes in both lungs, along with very limited mobility in his left arm. At this time, Jessie is unable to move on his own and requires constant support and care.
Despite everything, Jessie’s survival is nothing short of a miracle. We are beyond grateful to still have him with us, and we know his strength and faith are carrying him through this unimaginable journey.
Jessie has a very long road to recovery ahead. Every day, he is working hard in physical therapy, determined to regain as much independence as possible. However, his injuries are life-altering, and he will not be able to return to work or support himself for the foreseeable future.
We humbly ask for your support as we prepare for Jessie’s medical needs, rehabilitation, and future care. Any contribution, big or small, will help our family give Jessie the chance to heal and rebuild his life.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, love, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
