Help Our Son Jesse LaRosa Recover from Devastating Flood

My name is Frank and my wife is Joann LaRosa.Our son Jesse, who is 33 years old, was renting an apartment in St. James, New York. Sunday night, he got hit with a rainstorm that broke the walls of the apartment and caused 3 feet of water to come into the apartment. Landlord banging on his door at 1am in the morning as he was sleeping to step into 3 feet of water and seeing his refrigerator on its side floating. They ran through the adjacent apartment door to escape to go upstairs where he spent the night. He has lost all his belongings due to the flooding and water damage. The total amount was $8000. His renter’s insurance and the landlord's homeowners insurance do not cover the cost because it was considered flood damage. The landlord did not have flood coverage. His car was also totaled due to the flood. The insurance company will take his car and evaluate value. Now he has no car either.

My son does not have any funds to replace his belongings .He lost his bed, couch, recliner, entertainment center, 3 video game consoles. video games, hundreds of dvds, many collections of wrestling magazines, figures, funko pops ,clothes, cds ,3 laptops, 2 43 inch tv’s, 2 dresser’s, night table. 2 curios , bookcase , food in his refrigerator , full selection of shoes and sneakers, cookware , holiday ornaments, and bathroom accessories. There are many more that I am probably missing but most of all his heart is broken. Lot of his collectibles that he has had since he was around 10 years old are now destroyed and gone. He had a hard time letting them go but they were so saturated with water that there was no way of saving the magazines, autographs of wrestling pictures, books, cards. He is a huge wrestling fan so he had a huge collection of all of these collections.

We are reaching out for assistance from everyone for help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Jesse is a hard-working person and just graduated from nursing school. This is something that he does not need at this point in time. Please find kindness in your heart to help him. Thank you very much.
