I moved from Vermont to California in late November with my girlfriend and her dog. I’ve been paying out of pocket to live in hotels since then. I underestimated how long it would take me to find a job providing mental health services to Californians in need, but I finally found work in the Tarzana area. Ironically, I ran out of money and I’m the one in need now.
I just signed a lease with Concord Property Management. I don’t have money to move into my apartment or to furnish it once I’m in there. By Friday, March 26, I’ll officially be living in my car if I can’t find a way to cover these costs. After that, I will use my job to rebuild my life.
Thank you all for reading my story. Any support you can offer means the world to me as I work to get back on my feet.
