Recently, there have been serious changes at the local Humane Society, including the termination of many employees. One of those affected was Jesse Williams, the on-site caretaker who, at age 73, had dedicated over 24 years to watching over the animals after hours and responding to emergencies. Over the years, Jesse became a guardian for the un-adoptable animals, giving a loving home to those who had nowhere else to go. He currently cares for two dogs—one a 17-year-old former feral mix he successfully tamed—and an 18-year-old cat, all of whom depend on him for comfort and security.
Now, after so many years of service, Jesse has been forced to leave his position and his only option was to move into his RV. Unfortunately, the RV is in need of mechanical repairs, and it was recently discovered that there is mold inside that cannot be removed, making it unlivable. It’s heartbreaking to see a senior who has given so much to his community and to animals in need now facing such uncertainty.
I am raising money to help Jesse find another RV or trailer so he, his animal caretaker assistant, and his beloved animals can have a safe roof over their heads. Any amount you can give is deeply appreciated. Your support will help Jesse and his fur family find stability and hope after such a difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
