Hello, My name is Amber Halstad and I am raising money for my friend Jess and her 7 kids to help her obtain a retainer for a divorce lawyer, help with food and gas, essentials for kids and maybe some money for Christmas presents for them.

This summer, Jess kicked out her (soon to be ex-husband) for endangering her children and was awarded an order of protection for her and the kids to keep them safe.

Jess was a full-time stay at home mom and her husband brought in majority of the income. He has completely left her high and dry by not paying the mortgage, utilities or even leaving money for her to buy essentials for her children.  

Currently, the mortgage is two months behind, the utilities are also behind; and she met with a divorce lawyer but needs $3,500 for a retainer fee and she struggles with gas and food. Jess is one of the kindest and most genuine people I have met in my life and I know it pains her to ask for help, but sometimes we need to lean on the kindness and empathy of friends and family, as well as strangers to help us through our toughest times.

Note: She did not receive the stimulus money even though she has a number of kids because her soon to be ex husband screwed her out of that also which would have helped tremendously!!
