Help Jerry Hotai's 3 babies rebuild their lives
Double Tragedy – Mummy & Daddy taken too soon from their Children- Taking Care of the 3 Hotai Children for Jerry Hotai
Hi my name is Hira Edmonds and I am Jerry Hotai’s first cousin, this money will be used for the children through their aunties Rachel and Katrina (Jerry’s sisters) who have taken on the mammoth task of raising them.
Jerry Hotai had just suffered the loss of his partner Breeze this year, on the 15th March 2021, after a sudden, very short illness causing her sudden and so unexpected death, leaving a huge hole in the hearts of her 3 beloved children (7), (3), and (1) & Jerry her partner. She was 30 Years old.
So desperately trying to piece his and his children’s lives back together over the last 7 weeks, he could no longer go on, on Mother’s Day 9th May 2021 Jerry at 36 years of age took his own life.
His sudden, unexpected death has left our whole family in shock. We are shattered beyond words as we struggle to comprehend how this happened. His children don’t understand why Mummy and now Daddy are never coming home.
Jerry worked hard to provide for his children but since Breeze’s death he had already moved out of their rental home, unable to return to the place she and the children shared as a family.
Jerry’s children need to now look to the future for love from our extended family to keep their parent’s memory alive but raising 3 children is a monstrous task and will take a village to help support them.
Still in shock about our family’s tragedy we are all broken. We want to try and support all the future needs and costs involved in raising 3 children, we need to provide for these beautiful innocent children for many years to come
We want to keep them together always, giving them the life that Jerry and Breeze always planned for them.
We all have the best memories of Jerry making us all laugh, but he was more than a joker, Jerry was a devoted daddy and partner who adored his children. He worked so hard to take care of his family.
We can’t bring our Jerry back, but we can do everything we can to take care of his family for him. It’s all that mattered to him.
The money we hope to raise will not replace Jerry. This money won’t sustain this family forever. But it will go a long way to helping them find their feet in this new life they never dreamt they’d have to live.
