Please Help Us Rebuild Dad's Home after Borel Fire

My name is Veronica. I am raising funds to help my Dad, Jerry Harter, so that he can rebuild his home in Havilah, CA. My dad is a victim of the Borel Forest Fire, a fire that has devastated more than 55,000 acres in the Kern River Valley area.

Jerry and his wife, April, have been residents of the Historical Town of Havilah since 1997. April, our loving mother and our family rock, passed away 6 years ago. My siblings and I miss her everyday, but our sadness is only a fraction of that which our father feels.

Now, because of the fire, Jerry not only lost his house, but his well-being. My dad suffers from dementia, and because of this tragedy, he is now experiencing constant depression. He feels entirely lost, confused and sad. He needs his home.

We, his children, are doing everything in our power to get him back to his property, his safe place, as soon as possible.

My father is a US ARMY veteran, and has spent his life contributing as a construction professional.

Our goal is to raise funds so that we can move dad home. All proceeds will go to the effort of making his property habitable, and to help fund a mobile home for him to live in.
