We’re reaching out to you today on behalf of someone very special — Jermey, family man and member of the health care community.

Jermey has always been full of life, known for his willingness to help others. Beginning with The Ridge Culver Fire Department Explorers program, EMT with National Ambulance, Heritage Christian Services. He found his passion in nursing and became an RN helping many patients at Highland,Strong, and RRH systems, as well as Finger Lakes Donor Recovery. But over the past few years, his health has taken a serious turn. Diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Jermey’s lung function has rapidly declined. Despite his resilience and medical treatment, he now needs a double lung transplant to survive.

This is not just a surgery — it’s a chance at life.

Jermey has been evaluated and accepted onto the transplant list. While this is hopeful news, the costs surrounding a lung transplant are overwhelming. Even with insurance, Jermey faces substantial expenses, including:

Pre-transplant testing and treatments

Travel and lodging for surgery and follow-ups (often out of state)

Anti-rejection medications (which he’ll need for the rest of his life)

Lost income due to the inability to work during recovery

The total costs can exceed $1 million. That’s why we are turning to our community — to people like you — for support.
