Help Jeremy and Jennie after Lahaina Wildfire

Our son, Jeremy, has lived in Lahaina ever since moving to Maui approximately 12 years ago. His dream was to one day open a salon in Lahaina. After many years of hard work and perseverance, he was able to fulfill this dream with his wife Jennie in May 2021. Jeremy and Jennie tied the knot right on Maui in May 2022.

On August 8th their life was turned upside down. Jeremy was forced to abruptly evacuate their home in Kahoma Village as the powerful winds brought the wildfire into their neighborhood. Fortunately, Jennie had flown to San Francisco with her son to get him settled in for a new school year after a summer visit to Maui. We are so thankful that they are both alive and unharmed. We count our blessings!

Although we learned their home and place of business are both still standing, we do not know the extent of damage, if the contents are salvageable, nor do we know if they will be able to return to either.

Joe and I, along with Jeremy and Jennie, have received an outpouring of support from friends and family asking what they can do to help.

So, the purpose of this GoFundMe is to provide an avenue for support for all the essentials they will need in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Thank you for your love and support,
Joe and Evelyn Soares
