Help Je’raevion’s Recovery Journey

I am proud to be part of the Highland Park (HP) Baseball “Mom Squad,” a group that supports our players like family—because that’s exactly what they are to us.

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, one of our own, Je’raevion “King,” was seriously injured in a fire, suffering third-degree burns to multiple areas of his body. He received immediate care in Topeka before being transferred to the burn unit at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, where he has already undergone several surgeries, with more still ahead. His recovery journey will require an extended stay away from home as he continues to receive specialized treatment.

As you can imagine, this unexpected tragedy has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial strain on his family. Between medical expenses, travel, lodging, and time away from work, the burden continues to grow.

We are coming together as a community to support one of our own. Our goal is to help ease the financial pressure so Je’raevion and his family can focus fully on what matters most—his healing and recovery.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Je’raevion and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for standing with us and showing the strength of the Topeka and especially HP community.
