Hi Everyone. I’m Jennifer. To say the last 2 years have been the best and the absolute worst would be an understatement. I lost my mom on February 9th due to the effects of a stroke she suffered towards the end of last year. For the past 17 years, I’ve lived with my mom. I went from sharing half of all expenses with my mom to now being solely responsible virtually overnight.
In March of 2024, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I was Stage 3 and immediately started chemotherapy. Next was surgery, then radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Going through cancer was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I never would’ve made it if it wasn’t for the amazing care I received from my mom. I ended up missing a lot of work during 2025 due to the after-effects of treatment and the side effects of the pill therapy I’ll continue to take for at least the next 2 years.
Due to my circumstances, I’ve lost my home and am currently living out of my car and crashing on my dad’s couch. The cost of moving everything into storage was ridiculously expensive and more than I expected. There have also been so many added unexpected expenses from my mom’s passing. I’m asking for help. Help to get out of this financial hole that just seems to keep growing. Everything will go to getting back on my feet and move forward independently.
