Jennifer is the single mother of four adult children, and her oldest son, Andrew, still lives at home with her due to his cognitive disabilities. Jennifer is known in her community for her kindness—she volunteers for the Special Olympics, is always ready to lend a hand, and is a constant source of support for everyone around her.

On Friday, Jennifer narrowly avoided losing her home to rising rivers, only for tragedy to strike today when her house caught fire. She and Andrew lost all of their belongings in the fire. Thankfully, neither of them were home at the time, but the loss has left them without the essentials they need to move forward.

Right now, Jennifer is staying with her mother, Vera, and Andrew is with a family friend, Paul, who helps care for him. The funds raised will go directly toward helping them replace what was lost and secure temporary housing while they rebuild.
