My name is Bill Egeland and I am creating this gofundme at the request of many friends of Jennie Gibbs Middleton on her behalf.

A little over a week ago Ray and Jennie Middleton were involved in an automobile accident while in Savannah. Tragically, Ray was killed at the scene of that accident. Jennie ended up in the ER and ICU at Savannah Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Along with being devastated at the loss of her jewel (as she called Ray), among Jennie’s injuries were recurring brain bleeds, both cheek bones fractured, a broken nose, a broken sternum, seven broken ribs on the right side, three more broken ribs on the left side, a collapsed lung, and deep cuts above her eye and on her elbow. Although Jennie appears to be coming out of the woods concerning her life-threatening condition, because of these injuries, Jennie will incur tremendous expenses and be out of work while she heals. She presently is attempting to carry on Seaside Transport with the help of her drivers and without Ray’s guiding presence.

Folks have asked that a gofundme account be set up in Ray’s memory and on Jennie’s behalf to which they can donate to help with the expenses that will occur with the loss of Ray, Jennie’s extensive medical bills, and her loss of working capabilities. In addition, Ray and Jennie just built a new home on St. Simons, and with cost overruns they had to mortgage approximately $30,000.

i am asking for donations from those that know both Ray and Jennie to help towards the considerable expenses and debts the loss of Ray and this shocking event has left on Jennie. I will set a lofty goal of relieving Jennie of that mortgage amount, $30,000. Please donate any amount you feel you can spare.

A memorial for Ray will be annnounced once Jennie is healthy and back on her feet. All funds will go to Jennie Gibbs Middleton. Thank You.
