In Gaza dreams die, but hope remains..

Our life was normal, we had a house, a work and higher certificates, but surprisingly everything faded.

I’m m Jbreel Farroukh, all my dreams were shattered by the war, my company was completely destroyed and our house was completely destroyed in North Gaza, I was full of life and a successful entrepreneur in the field of engineering, but suddenly I could barely get electricity and internet to complete my studies in Master of Engineering.

My sisters Fardous is a researcher in public health sector , she hoped to complete her education, but her dream to study was shattered by genocide. After a 10-month wait since the discussion day scheduled for October 9th of last year, she successfully defended her master’s thesis in August, 2024 despite the ongoing war, genocide, and destruction in the Gaza Strip. She loves life, loves studying and aspires to complete her doctorate. She is working hard to get the opportunity to go abroad to complete her studies, but unfortunately her greatest ambition now is to stay alive and provide the daily needs that are difficult to obtain due to the siege, the high cost of living and the lack of infrastructure.
