Help JB Support A Friend Through Cancer Care

Since February, JB (Jules Murphy) has been in Texas helping a dear friend and community member through an intense ongoing battle against cancer. JB has left her home and job in San Francisco indefinitely to be the primary caregiver and sole live-in support person during this extremely difficult time.

In February, we raised funds to provide JB with a financial safety net so she could focus all her energy on giving our friend the love and care she deserves. These funds assured that JB would not have to worry about rent, bills, and work while she is away from her home and livelihood. JB has now been in Texas for more than half a year and the initial funds are dwindling.

As more information about the medical situation emerges, we know that JB will need to stay in Texas for longer than initially thought. This fundraiser exists to pay for her SF rent, bills, and time away from work for at least another six months.

The burden of care JB shoulders right now is immense. She is the emotional, physical, and social backbone of our friend's support system and her love and labor are vitally important to this process.

We are asking our extended circle of friends and family to help JB provide this support. By easing the strain of caregiving on JB, we also amplify the care offered to our beloved friend during her health crisis.

JB is a legendary queer dad who has nurtured the well-being of so many in her community for years and years. Now, let's help her hold this responsibility as much as we can.
