I'm a single momma to 13-year-old twins (and a 24-year-old). On 1/28/25, our world stopped... I heard the words no parent should EVER have to hear, "Jayla has leukemia."
No, not my baby girl, it can't be! It is, and it's AML. She also has a FLT3 gene mutation. She has been through 3 rounds of chemo so far. (With AML, they hit it and hit it hard). Since 1/28, we have/had been in the hospital for 113 days. I don't think my heart or mind could ever just leave my baby there alone. So, I am currently unemployed. On 6/26, Jayla will be admitted to CHOP, where she will undergo chemo, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant. Currently, my vehicle is not safe to drive long distances (CHOP is almost 2 hours from us). We will be in Philly for 3 months, at the minimum. Hopefully, we will only be in the hospital for one month, then staying close by the rest of the time. Right now, we have all of the pre-transplant visits scheduled. My oldest daughter's father has found a vehicle that is safe and reliable. I am short on the down payment, however. So, I am humbly coming to y'all for help. Most importantly, if you can't help financially, I ask that you pray for my baby girl! ❤️
