Hi, my name is Jayda, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’m usually the one smiling, staying positive, and doing my best to help everyone around me. Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me — in fact, I’ve done everything I can to avoid it — because I never want to feel like a burden on anyone else. But right now, I’ve reached a place where I can’t do this on my own.

A few months ago, I was pulled from work by my doctor because of the direness of my health. This wasn’t my choice; it was a medical necessity so I could focus on treatment and recovery. I applied for short-term disability, but my claim was denied on the basis of a pre-existing condition. That denial has left me with no income at all.

Since then, I’ve truly exhausted every option:

• Cutting back on bills and every non-essential expense

• Pawning and selling belongings

• Taking on gig jobs where possible

• Applying for every community assistance program I can find

My family is helping as much as they’re able, but they can’t cover this urgent moment. The reality is that I owe $4,300 in rent. I’ve managed to pull together $1,900, but unless I can pay the rest, I am facing eviction on September 7th.

How Donations Will Help:

• $2,400 → Remaining rent balance to stop the eviction

• Anything beyond the goal → Utilities, food, and basic living expenses while I continue receiving care and work toward stability

Why I am asking:

I’ve always believed in working hard, supporting others, and staying positive no matter what life throws at me. It breaks my heart to be here, asking for help, but this is truly my last option to keep a roof over my head.
