My name is Brittany, and I’m the proud mom of two amazing kids. My youngest son, Jaxon, is only 6 years old and has already endured more than most people face in a lifetime.
At just 9 months old, Jaxon was diagnosed with Diffuse Leptomeningeal Glioneuronal Tumor (DLGNT), a rare pediatric brain and spinal cancer. Since then, he’s had multiple brain surgeries, shunt placements, targeted therapies, and countless hospital visits. Jaxon is also nonverbal autistic, which makes his daily struggles even more overwhelming. And yet, despite it all, he still fills our home with his laughter and light.
As a family of 6 our financial struggles go beyond just medical - there is also the hidden costs of a journey like this:
Unpaid time off work when Jaxon is in pain, sick, or in the hospital.
Travel expenses for frequent appointments and procedures hours away.
Everyday necessities like gas, groceries, diapers as Jaxon is still working on potty training, meal replacement substitutes due to weight issues among the entirely separate funds for school, activities, and other necessities.
Missed moments of normalcy because even small family activities are financially out of reach.
This has left us in a place where we are simply trying to hold everything together. My daughter had to start school this year reusing supplies because we couldn’t afford new ones. Family outings, sports, and simple joys are things we’ve had to set aside, even though I know my children need them more than ever.
I am humbly asking for help—not for medical bills, but so we can breathe again as a family. Your donation, no matter how small, will help us:
Afford gas and groceries.
Cover unpaid days when I have to miss work to care for Jaxon.
Make sure my other kids have what they need for school.
Give our family opportunities to do small activities together, bringing joy back into their childhoods.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing Jaxon’s story means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, for caring, and for helping us create moments of hope and stability in the middle of such a hard journey.
With love and gratitude,
Brittany & Family
