Help Jared & Juni Recover from Devastating Holiday Crash

On the morning of December 23, 2024, tragedy struck as our dear friend Jared was involved in a devastating car crash just 15 miles from his parents’ home on his way to celebrate Christmas with family. The weather was treacherous with snow-covered roads, and after losing control of his car, Jared was involved in a terrible head-on crash.

Miraculously, Jared survived. The paramedics had to extract him from the wreckage after his iPhone detected the crash and called emergency services. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and once stable, underwent multiple surgeries on Christmas morning. In addition to multiple fractures and lacerations, doctors inserted pins into his pelvis and a plate in his left arm. His condition is very serious, but with time, doctors hope he will make a full recovery.

Jared is currently unable to move his left arm. He has mobility only in his right arm, but his right hand is in a cast. He’s been on heavy pain medication and doesn’t remember much of what’s happened. His road to recovery will be long, with extensive physical therapy ahead of him.

Sadly Jared wasn’t alone in the crash. His emotional support kitten, Juni, was found under the wreckage, but after a leg amputation and hip surgery, is expected to survive to support Jared through his long road to recovery.

As you can imagine, the medical bills are really piling up. Between ambulance, the ER, his hospital stay, surgeries, and ongoing physical therapy, the costs are overwhelming.
