**Help Janice and Her Cat George Find Stability and a Safe Home**
At 67, Janice should be safe at home — not living in her car with her cat, in cramped conditions.
Janice is a senior woman who has been homeless for nearly three years — through no fault of her own. Her life was turned upside down when the apartment she lived in was sold and demolished, and despite doing everything right, she has never been able to regain stable housing.
For a time, Janice stayed in a shelter. She was a model resident: respectful, cooperative, and grateful. Sadly, the shelter did not treat her — or her beloved cat, George — with the care and compassion they deserved. George is Janice’s constant companion and emotional support, and seeing him mistreated was heartbreaking. With no meaningful help toward permanent housing, Janice was left with no safe option.
Today, Janice is living in her car. While that is helpful, her health is suffering, due to such cramped conditions.
She does receive a small amount of retirement income, but it simply isn’t enough to cover basic survival costs while trying to get back on her feet. She needs help paying for essential expenses such as:
* Her car loan (her only shelter)
* Car insurance
* Gas
* Basic necessities while she searches for housing
Janice’s greatest wish is modest and deeply human: a safe, very low-rent apartment in the East San Gabriel Valley — ideally in Monrovia or Duarte — where she and George can finally rest, feel secure, and rebuild a sense of normalcy.
Your support can help keep Janice safe right now and give her a real chance at stability. Even a small donation helps ease the daily fear of losing the one thing keeping her off the street — her car — and brings her closer to a permanent home.
Please consider donating or sharing Janice’s story. Everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a place to call home — especially someone who has already endured so much with grace and resilience.
Thank you for caring. ❤️
