My name is Janet, and I am 19 years old. My mom, my dad, and I are currently homeless, living in separate places in Sacramento. Our situation began when my dad sold our house, forcing us to move to Truckee, California. While we were there, my mom became very sick and experienced traumatic events at the hospital in Reno. Despite everything, we tried to stay together and support each other.

Eventually, we returned to Sacramento, but our challenges continued. We ended up living in a car with my dad, who became violent and abusive. He kicked us out and tried to harm us, leaving us with nowhere to go. Now, my mom is in a downtown shelter, I am in a youth shelter, and my dad is in a shared home. My dad has also suffered a stroke in the past. We are separated and struggling to get by each day.

We need help to find a safe place to stay, get food, and cover transportation costs. Donations will also help us thank family members who have supported us in the past.
