My name is Janel, and I’m reaching out for help to get my car back on the road. I own a 2014 Ford Explorer. Recently, the power steering in my vehicle went out, leaving me stranded in a rural area where there’s no access to public transportation. My car is my only way to get groceries, run errands, and manage daily responsibilities for myself and my three children. Without it, even simple tasks like shopping for food have become a major challenge for our family.
On top of this, I am a single mother and do not receive any child support, which makes our financial situation even more difficult. I am also in the process of moving to a new home, which has added even more stress to our situation. I rely on my car for my side job as a courier, which is how I make extra money to support my family. Without a working vehicle, I am unable to do this job and have lost an important source of income.
I also use my vehicle to help transport others in need in my community, whether it’s giving rides to neighbors who don’t have cars or helping friends get to appointments. My car is large enough to transport my family and two others, making it a valuable resource for those around me. I recently had major work done on the fuel line, and the engine is in excellent condition, so repairing the power steering will keep it running strong for years to come. Living in a rural community means there are no buses or ride-share options available, so I rely on my car for everything. The repair shop has given me an estimate for the work, but the cost is more than I can manage on my own. I’ve already missed out on getting groceries in a timely manner, and I’m worried about how I’ll keep up with other essential needs for my family if my car isn’t fixed soon.
Any support will go directly toward fixing my car so I can regain my independence, return to work, and continue helping others in my community. Thank you for considering a donation or sharing my story. Your help would mean so much to us during this difficult time. God bless you for taking the time to read.
