Help Jamie replace his accessible family car after theft

Donation protected
Hi, I’m setting up this fundraiser for my brother-in-law Jamie and his young family from the Shoalhaven area south of Sydney.

On the weekend, Jamie woke up at 4am to get ready for work and saw his car being driven out of his own driveway. Someone had broken into their home while the family was sleeping and taken the keys.

In addition to the car, personal items including an engagement ring, iPad and child car seats were also stolen, adding further financial and emotional strain during an already difficult time.

Police located the vehicle, but it had been burned out and completely destroyed.

The car was a Mitsubishi Outlander and it was essential to Jamie and his family’s daily life. Jamie was born without forearms and relies on a vehicle with specific modifications so he can safely reach the steering wheel and drive. Finding and setting up a suitable replacement will take a huge toll on the family financially.

Jamie works incredibly hard as an apprentice green keeper while also studying at TAFE, starting every day before sunrise. His wife works at a school, and together they are raising their two beautiful young children, aged 2 and 4.

Without a car, Jamie cannot get to work or TAFE, and the family’s ability to manage daily life has been severely impacted overnight.

Unfortunately, they did not have insurance and are now facing the full cost of replacing the car and car seats, while processing the trauma of someone breaking into their home as their children slept.

We are hoping to raise funds to help Jamie replace his car with one that can be safely adapted for his needs, so he can continue working, studying, and supporting his family.

Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much to Jamie and his family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness and support.
