Hi everyone, my name is Jazmyn Stevens, and I’m from Houston, Texas. During Hurricane Melissa, my family and I were in Jamaica when the storm hit. Like many others, we found ourselves in an unfamiliar place, facing uncertainty and fear. Through it all, the incredible staff where we were staying cared for us with kindness, patience, and dedication — even while they and their families were personally affected by the hurricane.

They made sure we were safe, fed, and as comfortable as possible during some of the hardest days. Their compassion and strength truly carried us through the storm.

Now that I’m back home and returning to daily life, I can’t stop thinking about how they’re still dealing with the aftermath — damaged homes, lost possessions, and financial strain from the hurricane’s impact.

This GoFundMe is my way of giving back to those who gave so much to us.

All funds raised will go directly to the staff members and their families who were affected by Hurricane Melissa. The donations will help cover essentials like home repairs, food, clothing, and other immediate needs as they rebuild their lives.
