Hello, my name is Jake Anhalt and I live in the Town of Saratoga located in Wisconsin.

Also located very near my home is what I learned to be a Flock Camera (which arrived unannounced). After researching the camera lenses it uses and the range it can see, I found the wide-range lens could see a large portion of my front yard. Including my children's playground equipment, my front door, and my driveway.

On June 22nd-a plastic shopping bag was tied around the camera- meticulously placed to cause absolutely no damage to the camera or pole. By the 23rd, the bag was removed. The bag was back on by the 24th...This continued until the 26th. That afternoon the bag was placed back and also immediately, multiple Wood Co. Sherriff's officers covered my yard.

Once I admitted to covering the camera (which caused no damage), I was threated with arrest and multiple tickets for committing absolutely no crimes. At this time, I told officers I was no longer interested in talking to them and tried to reenter my home. Quickly another officer rushed me, put his hands on me, and physically detained me in my own driveway.

Questioning and beratement continued for up to thirty minutes. I was forced to stay out of my home, where my three and five year old children were waiting for me. Ultimately, I was issued a Disorderly Conduct Violation for 'damaging' the camera. This catch-all charge is the only they gave me-even after threating me with much worse.

The interaction ended when I finally had my ticket in hand, and make it very clear I was done talking to them and was going back into my home.

The next day, June 27th, the camera was intently moved to angle the lens away from my property. Which I took as an admission of guilt on their end and confirmed my feelings that their actions were wrong.

I am starting this fund to help cover lawyer's expenses. I will be pushing this until the charge is dropped and I am correctly compensated for their disproportionate actions. I was in my own yard, going back to tend to my babies, and they put their hands on me. Stopped me from entering my home and threatened to arrest me. All over a camera that was surveilling my yard, my driveway, and my children.
