On July 3, a powerful storm swept through the Papillion-LaVista area, and a lightning strike caused a devastating house fire at Jake and Morgan Anderson’s new home. Thankfully, they had stayed up a little later that night and were just putting their children, Harper and Wesley, to bed when they noticed smoke. They were able to get everyone out safely, and their family is unharmed.

Jake and Morgan had poured their hearts into making their new house a home. Morgan spent time decorating, choosing beautiful furnishings, and painting the kids’ rooms their favorite colors. Jake dedicated countless evenings to creating a lush lawn, and the family had only enjoyed a few nights on their new patio. While the loss of their belongings is difficult, the most important thing is that their family is safe.
